The spam bots are our friends, all hail the spam bots

So we've been getting a lot of spam bots successfully registering and posting since we moved boards, which is sad.

It seems using board software as well known as phpBB means the bots know how to get around the verification system and I'm very disappointed in how poorly both normal captcha's and reCaptcha have been at stopping them.

As the captcha seems to do little to stop the bots and it's just annoying to users, I've switched this out for a Q&A verification. The answer should be supremely obvious for anyone registering to a forum about Final Fantasy VII, but if you can't get past it, email me at ff7citadel@ff7citadel.com.

If this is unsuccessful in stopping the spammers, I guess we will just have to accept our new robotic Russian overlords. <3

The one spam thread in GD needs to be deleted. :)

I just killed it, thanks. :)

I'm tweaking the Q&A question in a vain hope the Russians will give in. >:[
