| Sony Pictures has announced that CGI feature film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children will be released in Europe this coming April.
Advent Children features the voices of Jessica Alba off of Fantastic Four, movie/pop starlet Mandy Moore and Steve Burton. Steve previously provided the voice of Cloud in Kingdom Hearts, and once appeared in an episode of Who's the Boss?. The film is set two years after the events of FFVII and sees Cloud tasked with saving a load of kids from a deadly disease called Geostigma. Sephiroth's in it. Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is out on DVD and UMD on April 24th, priced £19.99. Source. OH YES BABY! | How come no other sites are reporting this...? I've looked around and can't find anything about other VAs.
Also, Mandy Moore isn't doing the voice for Aerith in KHII, so why would Nomura choose her for AC? I have no problems with these guys as cast members (based on KH and Alba in Sin City), it's just that... MM. To me it smells fishy. But I'm probably wrong. |

| Why are no American sites reporting this? Wouldn't the film be released in the US before Europe? What the hell is going on? Jessica Alba? Who the hell is she voicing? Not my Tifa, please!!!
PS: I was in the mall today, and one of the DVD kiosks they had some snippets of AC playing on the screen. The guy did tell me to his best knowledge they still working on voices and thats why it was taking so long. They better not screw this up! |

| I've heard April 24th, but didn't want to say anything until I could cement it. Not after last time. Last time I even printed out the AD, and it was still wrong.
But I'm still hearing other dates, some as long as JULY!!! I promise you all, the first thing I hear about a STRONG release date, I'll let you all know... For now, if I had to choose a release date that sounds the most realistic, it would be April 24th. |

According to German website GameStar, Sony is reportedly denying ever having officially given a release date for Advent Children. o_O My local Who shop said they were getting the DVD in (Once Disc copy and a Two Disc Set.) next week. o__o; I was told that if I ordered this Friday, it would be there ready for me on the Monday. Unless the DVD is coming out in the UK earlier, I don't know what the think. o.o |

| Trev, You might want to check this out.
As for the UK, although there is no similar announcement on the European Squeenix site nor any entries on the UK Sony Pictures upcoming releases page, it seems most places selling DVDs all have the same pre-order date for AC. April the 24th. That includes HMV, Virgin Megastore, Woolworths and even WHSmith. WHSmith has this wonderful synopsis for the movie: A genetically engineered soldier, reported as missing in action, returns to exact revenge on his creators. |

Cone on Seb... HOW many press-releases did we see with different dates on them? I'm just saying, this now, although doesn't make it 100%, does help to back that this date is NOW, more than ever, looking better and better.
