| I really enjoyed Soul Calibur, and I can tell that by the looks of the screenies and videos it doesn't look like it.
The staff said that the starting point of the "battle system" was Kingdom Hearts 2, but I head they modified a good lot of it, so it should be different enough. Anyways, the game's looking good and I shall see what goes on... |

Now, if you would read the section under the Character table, they make mention of a Counter-Entity to the classic Source of Evil, Chaos, and that is Cosmos. This detail has made me think, What happens when two immortal beings are pitted against eachother, and the struggle of their vast powers could destroy the fabric of Reality? You select Champions, thus our Warriors of Light (and Darkness), because of the Balance, and our ever so cuddly villains, like Sephiroth and Kuja. Now, Chaos has been losing these matches since round one, and thus why he keeps trying to disrupt life throughout the FF Multiverse/Universe... I beleive Dissidia will be the name of a Gaia not held within normal FF laws, basically, a CrossWorld, a nexus between the worlds, and the Warriors of Light from the different Gaia's will join together to face Chaos himself. Their drive? The safety of their home-worlds and the revival of Cosmos, whom Chaos knocked out in a moment of frustration and anger at his continuous loses to her Warriors. Add this to the ability in Vs mode, you can pit your fave FF characters in epic clashes... Like fighting out in Sephiroth, in the last battle... Which reminds me, which Cloud would they use? FF7's SOLDIER uniform or AC's Delivery boy getup? EDIT: "Certain Characters can duel-wield by pressing the R button and the triangle at the same time" AC Cloud will be used, if they use this, although, given the history of fighters, his original outfit, and probably his MP uniform will be available too. | Dammit, now I'm gonna have to buy a PSP. After scanning the article, it looks pretty amazing. Crap. I'm excited to see a storyline involving characters from multiple FF games, especially Zidane and Kuja! Kuja is pretty kickass, btw.
And of course, there's Sephie. I'm curious to know if they're gonna add back in the darker "I'm-Crazy-Like-That-Chick-In-The-Exorcist" aspect of Sephie, or leave him as cute and cuddly as KH made him. (seriously. compare Sephie from either KH and Sephie from VII...very very different.) |

| For some reason, after watching that, I got a flash of Sephie coming out of the crater, all sparkly and badass, then being side-tackled by a bazillion fangirls. Also: Me drinking coffee and wondering if all the fire and smoke and "mag-ma" was necessary. Hmmm.
