Our first peak at the English version of Crisis Core, and the dubs don't seem to dissapoint....except for Sephy. I think his voice has changed again, and this one one doesn't seem all that great either, but it could just be the one scene. Now I just have to get my hands on another PSP.... |

| Lmao, actually, I thought the guy who did Sephiroth's voice in AC would've been good if he didn't sound so forced. But ah well, at least we're finally getting the game.

| I'm actually quite happy with Zacks, Angeals and Lazards voices. They fit really well (which is surprising considering AC's english voices were awful) Sephiroth's is alright, not the best.
I just pray to god that they fix Cloud's voice. The AC one was TERRIBLE |

Anyway, IGN's started posting character profiles. Ladies and germs, you aren't going to believe this, but an entirely new town has been added to the swiss cheese that is now FFVII's canon. From the piece: Spoiler:
Angeal and Genesis grew up together in the village of Banora. While Angeal was raised by a poor family, Genesis was the son of the affluent landlord. Yet Genesis would later make a comment that those parents were not his own. What truth did he discover regarding the origin of his birth? I also like how Loveless has turned from a play into a poem. | New towns / locations don't bother me in the slightest, unless they're something insanely massively significant that the FFVII crew would have been crazy not to visit. Come on, do you really think that the tiny set of locations in FFVII represented all the settlements on the planet? Adding what is (I hope...) one smallish settlement with no connection to the FFVII plot or good reason why during the course of FFVII anyone should have gone there, that's the least of my worries (Damn Nibelhiem Incident retconning! >: ).
Also, games should have original language + subtitle options already. |

| This new village doesn't hugely affect the story. In fact, it fits rather nicely without adversely affecting any of the FF7 Canon.
I reckon aside from my previously noted Nibelheim incident, the existence of one Dr. Hollander and what it is he actually did certainly does create a few retcon's I am of course referring to: (Warning, fairly huge spoiler ahead) Spoiler: Dr. Hollander works on a SEPERATE Jenova project using his own wife and the Mayor of Banora's son. And that's how we get Genesis and Angeal |

It's confusing, I think Genesis refers to Angeal and Sephiroth as his 'brothers' but I could be wrong. They aren't directly related by blood. And the one wing is just confusing, so far it appears that all Jenova Projects have it, but not those with just Jenova cells and much laughter at the mention of Deepground, Because: Spoiler: Weiss and Nero appear at the end of the game to take Genesis away |
