Re: Who would survive?

Slider: You should. It is definitely a classic of its time. Lots of great actors. I think any post nuclear world would be pretty lawless. Even if the cities survive, the EMPs will probably make modern technology useless outside of the hardened bunkers. Those who survive the radiation, but who can't ...

Re: Who would survive?

What movie is this from? I think I would survive, and people like me. Fail Safe from 1964. In the beginning, the professor, played by Walter Matthau, is talking to a room full of socialites about his theories of how a nuclear war would play out, what SOLDIER quoted above. I had not considered the f...

Re: Who would survive?

How do they get out of solitary? I've always wondered that when the professor has given that talk in the movie.

I do think that the file clerks, being educated men, will know more and better how to survive in the post nuclear world.

Re: History

I just wish they get the idiot Trump out the house and legalize medical/recreational weed in all 50 states. Then again, who would be replacing Trump is no better. The idiots who thought it was a good idea to vote this bozo should have there voting rights revoked. Why don't you like Trump? Why do yo...

Cloud, how are you feeling post election? Glad the Dems won the House? Feeling iffy about Ruth Bader Ginsberg falling and breaking some ribs?

Re: What have you seen?

Babylon 5 is rerunning on cable. Season One was pretty cool. It hinted at future storylines here and there. But it was mostly about Sinclair and the war. Season Two, so far, has been quite a change. Besides the fact there is a new main character, the tone seems to be quite different. Season One was...

Re: What have you seen?

I saw Judge Dredd (2012?) a few weeks ago. I never even heard of it coming out. 10/10. Karl Urban nailed his role as Dredd. He didn't even take off his helmet. I have seen this once all the way through and bits and pieces a few other times. I liked the bleak urban wasteland in the form of a third w...

Re: Bringing up a child

I think bringing up a child can best be done by a man and a woman who are married and have firm values to pass along to the child.

Re: History

I feel like more people should be active. It just seems too dead. I mean is this what we are reduced to? You should post more on topics that interest you besides all the "what the Citadel used to be" posts. What are you reading? It's election season, are you big red wave or big blue wave?
